Paracas National Reserve

It is located in Pisco province, at 27 Km south of this city and at 41 Km of our hotel. Created in 1975, it is the only marine reserve of Peru. It has a an area of 335,00 hectares (solid ground: 17,406 has and sea: 217,594 has).

Paracas National Reserve offers you biogeographic features of great beauty. The annual average temperature is 18.7° C, it is sunny almost the whole year reducing the relative humidity. The average wind speed is 14.9 km/h with maximum speeds of 32 km/h known as "Paracas" (coastal strong winds). The soil of Paracas National Reserve is geological formed by fossilized stones deposits and sedimentary and igneous soils. The erosive force of winds and walls over the cliffs through the years has generated the formation of great tourist scenarios such as The Cathedral and the Monks, whose walls are the alighting place for guano birds such as chula and piquero. Inside the cathedral, you can find a vault, habitat of the sea cat.
